i am going to st simon next week. i know a little about east beach but have not been kiting there. also have heard about jekyll isl.
any thoughts on both places? one vs the other in terms of ease of launch & landing, water depth, currents, etc? relatively new to kiting but gettin better! thx ck |

Any thoughts on this question would be greatly appreciated. I’m learning in Tampa but live in Atlanta so during the year I was thinking Jekyll would be my closest option, but I have thought about Saint Simons also. Thanks!

I'm gonna watch your thread, as I'll be there in the late summer. Here's the only other info I could find on the area on fksa.org:

well no one responded.
i know a little & after my trip ill post the update. east beach on st simon is good for windsurfing i know & has a good crowd(sailors & others) . but that might be the problem for kiting... jekyl has a launch called kitebeach so it must be decent. just not sure of depth, reach, etc. got my new rig & will let you know next week! ck |
