Not sure what kites are for sale for $549, but my advice do not buy a 2006 Turbo Diesel or Octane, or any other 2006 kite. There are some new kites which are still inexpensive but very good kites. Steve-O will know. See if they have any 2008 waroos, or maybe a 2008 monkey kite.

Also, there is a huge sale on 2008 kites at www.oceanextremesports.com

The 2008 waroos are about 900 complete with bar and lines for an 11M. Last time I rode it seemed like 75% of the kites out there were waroos so I guess that says something for the kite and it will be my next kite too.

Most brands made very good kites in 2008.

i wouldnt agree with that completely, there were a lot of good 06 kites... yes the 08's are for the most part better....but that doesnt mean the 06's were bad....

Good point on the Turbo Deisel 1

The kite at 549 is the Monkey and I also have a few 07 Waroos at 699. Both great kites and great deals respectively.

I like my Monkey's.....I still think they are great bang for the buck.

If you could get a Monkey for 549 back in 06, now that's a steal. LOL!!!!
