Hey Tim , sorry if I seemed a bit rude when I rode up to you as you where pumping up your kite at the wrong East Beach. Kiting isn't permitted there and I was just trying to relay the message to you as quick as possible and then get outta there.
Our other east beach ( regular one ) is sweet!

Big R - wasn't me you talked to. I set up basically all the way towards the end of EB where that turn-around spot is for cars - my wife & family had a couple of umbrellas set up. I talked with some locals first and they said I was in a good spot.
You guys have it great down here. I'm truly jealous. Up in MA, we have to hike 1/4 mile with all of our gear and there's very few flat water places to ride, except for on the Cape. But the crowds down there are insane. I'm sore as hell right now, but would love to get out again tomorrow. |

Raul,
On a crowded day it's probably best not to rig there. But, Jim Wilson gave the green light on that spot a few months ago. The last time I checked, almost every thing (except the swimming lagoons) was green light. |

Yeah, pretty cool. I think not rigging in there when it's crowded (like a weekend) is probably wise.
But, there is no rule against it. I heard it from Jim personally and asked twice, to make sure. Common sense and staying out if it's crowded is probably smart. You could always rig just a tad N of the main area, that would work, I think. I have done that with Chris Moore. I worked out fine. |

I can see why people would still prefer the other EB tho', more of a walk and lack of flat water ( if thats what they like )

you talking about the main beach area there at East Beach w/the bathroom area?
That could alleviate some of the overcrowding.. i rode from EB out to the skyway bridge fishing pier yesterday.. nice long ride..and on my way back in I ended up at that beach.. a couple riders up that way .. i figured they had done a long tack to get there.. |
