It's comin. But it aint gonna be free., We gonna have to work for this front!

Sat-Sunday North winds 15-20 knots. Most likely pushin 20 knots. North Florida callin for 20-25.

Strange thing, Jupiter (our best North wind spot) is not callin for anything over 10-15??? It may get a touch of NE in it but maybe not enough for the beachside access points on ocean side. The Keys is looking to the best of it in S FLorida. Wind direction calls for Bayside riding.

Kayak is coming out and time to hit the real near shore flats off the bay side coast. Dont need no stinkin motor power. Its all bout the Mo nature

Good luck and prepare yourself gents ! (and ladies). Im gettin all giddy!

Yes, looks like we'll get wind, question is when and where. I'm thinking there will be some more changes between now and when it arrives. So, sections of coast may open up ... or not. Just ordered some experimental wrist braces just in time for the wind, hope they do the trick!

Oh yeah!

Bayside on Sunday to catch that North wind and then ocean side on Tuesday when that NE hits us. What a great first front!

Y'all better hit it b/c I dont know if I remember how to kite.

Where on the bay side can you kite? Any launches that don't require a boat. Looking like the wind may have too much of a West edge on it to be good in Ft Lauderdale on Sunday.

Sorry Biz. Didint see you post til today.

Im referring to bayside in the Keys. There really are no bayside beach launches. If you know you way around, there are a few spots you can squeeze out of on land. It will be pretty much launch and ride. Dont expect to ride 20 minutes then land your kite, have a soda, and then go out again. Its pretty much stay out. There are shallow spots right off shore so if you bring a little anchor, bouy and clip you can land your kite in the water, clip in, and take a break. If youre so inclined, bring a floating device with some shade. The world is your oyster.

Wind was solid North today. No ridable spots south of Jupiter really excpet bayside in the keys. Was out riding on teh bayside today, it was honkin'.

Forecast to be NE 20 kts. today in the SE (mainland). Should be fun. Take your time and rig right if you have experience in these sort of conditions. If not, try to find a flat water venue or wait until winds ease a bit. Wind is still offshore currently with refracted swells coming in. By the forecast, things should be running bigger later on today. Going from nothing for months to 20 kts. plus good sized waves is no picnic. It has been a long time for most of us. Season's on.

Starting to turn side onshore off Delray, 11 to 17 kts. NNE. NWS dropped the forecast back to 15 to 20 NE for the next several days. White caps are showing up:

20 knots was in a lull. On Sunday morning we were pushing 25-30 knots in the Keys bayside. Not as gusty as you would think. It settled down a few hours into the morning though to a nice 20 knots.

Had a nice session tonight in the waves. Wind was around 20 kts., it was a good time. The first one since May for me I think. At least in this country. No real wrist impact either, I hope. Who else got some water time in today?
