My wife and I are interested in learning to kite surf. I have been board surfing for over 45 years and noticed a lot of kite surfers that go out close to a condo that I own on South Padre Island Texas. How long does it take to just be able to basically stand up and what is the progression like? Is anyone familiar with good instructors at SPI?

Also, my condo is available to rent by the day, week or month.

It is fairly new, small complex of only 12 units, across the street from the beach, 1 bedroom, with pool, patio, has an outside owners closet to store gear, very nicely furnished

For anyone interested in the area and our condo. See link http://www.rentalprorentals.com/furcron/ShowProp.cfm?propid=86
