amelia island vacation

i am going to be in Amelia island from this saturday to next saturday. i am a beginner and have had one lesson and did some practice on my own. any one want to meet up that would be aesome so i could be with an experienced rider. let me know if your interested?;) thanks kyle

I hope it is a great trip. In my opinion, one lesson is far from enough to be going out on your own at this point. This coming from someone who had no choice in the matter ten years ago (no instructors for a few thousand miles) and way too many accident evaluations over much of that time. It may not be easy to believe but I have no purpose in telling you this other than to try to improve your odds of getting into the sport as quickly and safely as possible while trying to preserve general access. The sport is deceptively easy. Also, there may or may not be wind at this time of year. That area goes off in the cooler months though. Anyway, there are instructors at Extreme Kites in St. Augustine and Jax that aren't so far away.
