Default glide vs crazy fly

Can anyone compare/contast the slingshot glide vs crazy fly pro line 145x48 in terms of feel and upwind performance? just rode the cf today and liked it-stayed upwind in 10 mph with a 19 assault. slingshot has smaller fins than the cf, not sure how it would feel? Glide is 149 long but dont know how wide?

Get the CF
How's that for a review?

Seriously though. In my opinion, for light wind boards these days, it comes down to that CF or a Spleene (and maybe a few others, like the Skywalker).
I love my Glide, (but I am use to it, and it's the original year model).
I think the current Glide is currently beaten out by some other boards. One reason being the new Glide is pretty heavy.
Also, if not use to it, the Glide is tougher to adapt too, those others are just "hop on and go".

I agree with Scott. CrazyFly all the way. For what it's worth, I ride the lightwind skywalker...and I love it. But, I've tried the lightwind crazyfly and it rocks. It beats both skywalker and glide on lightwind ability, though I wouldn't try to hold it down in a lot of wind.

Talking Go Jimmy !

For an extra 150$ you could get a Jimmy Lewis Flight Deck 147... Great LightWind board.
One day she will be mine :-)

But between CrazyFly and Glide I would also choose the CF.

ive held down a 13m waroo in 20-25 on my CF....
and ive done a 10mile DW in head high waves on it as welll...
hands down one of the best light wind boards out there, the glide isnt even in the same league, ive demo'd mine to multiple people with glides and they've all loved it...
size wise, i think the glide is only 45 wide, compared to the CF at 48...

id sell you mine..... for 600 bucks, so i could buy a new one

I bought the crazy fly all around 149x45 as my new light wind board and love it. I've rode the glide and chose the CZ because it has more rocker and rounding on the edge so I can also ride it when it gets a little choppy. I've had the board about 3 weeks and barely ride my 151SX anymore which use to be my all around board until the wind started cranking.

If I was in a lightwind race with riders on the glide and spleen, I might loose a little ground, but I still think I'd rather ride the CZ. As a note, the CZ jumps pretty well also and doesn't feel like a log when I'm throwing kiteloops.

thanks for all the input. i have the cf 145x 48 allround and like it but it is quite different than the pro model. The lack of rocker and straight profile all the way to the tips seemed to plane much quicker and the upwind performance was Much better than the allround.

The Glide is king, all other boards are OBSOLETE.
Zip up that Crazy Fly, your Spleene just fell out....

No kidding? Well, you've got some weight on you though. More than most riders. I wonder if your board is the one I demo'd at LP one night. I couldn't see the face of the guy I was talking to but he let me give it a try. I think it was yours! lol I will entertain the offer.
