TWO NEW WRECKS to dive in 6 days?! Vandenberg, Now Miracle of Life
Hit the Vanderberg last weekend, arguably a world class new wreck site hours after it was opened to the public. I was looking around for something to dive this weekend and learned they're sinking a new, 165 ft. vessel off Deerfield tomorrow, the " Miracle of Life Shipwreck." Formerly known as "Miss Lourdies," seized drug smuggling vessel, it was donated to Deerfield for conversion into an artificial reef. It was taken with 154 kg of cocaine secreted behind a welded shut steel bulkhead. The wreck is to be ballasted with and scuttled under anchor to lay in 140 ft. of water.
