The forecasts for today are schizo. Numerous sites are calling for little wind, but iKitesurf is anticipating NW today in the afternoon, then NW all day Sunday, then W to SW on Monday.

Keep an eye on the buoys. Maybe the wind godz will throw us a bone this weekend.

I had a real good session down in SRQ thanks to Robbie Martirano, who called me and told me to get my ass out to the beach.

I was on the 15 Ion and sand was blowing down the beach. I was a glory hound and going for big jumps for the tourists. Toward the end of the session, I was getting way up there. I was on the Abreu but could have ridden my 118, it was windy.

The session ended prematurely due to the wall of death that rolled through. No worries.

Thank you, wind godz.

I got close to being stuck in the wall of death...

Got there right before it was going to hit, I rigged up, and at redington it was side off so it wasn't so good.

...and I was driving 14 hours back from Hatteras!

Yep folks, Toby the opinionated frequent poster is back!!!

Decent wind last week, got a few downwinders in and a couple of days of riding at Hatteras Island Surf Shop with Ray Leroy. Bought a new Liquid Force harness, and a 17.5 M '05 Machine from Real after the discounts came out on them and they even included a 2006 bar that our good friend Shawn got included for me! Watch out Stevil!!!

Also picked up some other goodies. Got a brand new 130 Wavetray for Amber for the windier winter season to complement the 157 Wavetray for the summer which will be my winter board and the Magic Carpet obviously being my light wind board.

Full Machine quiver now and working on getting some '06 Fuels possibly or maybe some Flexis, haven't decided yet...

Overall great trip though, for anyone even pondering making the trip, DEFINITELY do so, you won't be sorry!!! I may go up again and stay with my aunt sometime soon!!!

Man you guys didn't get any good riding on Sat? I was in captiva island (sanibel) and rode for like 2 hours lit on my 15m. Clear skies, and good wind. I saw some black clouds to the north so I guess that was you guys. Bummer.
