For 27 years, Roberto Ricci has led the designs efforts for RRD International, first in windsurfing and surf, and now in kiteboarding. Full of passion after all this time, he said he still gets the feeling of excitement and fun whenever he’s testing new gear.

Our guests on this week’s The Kiteboarder Magazine and ASNews.net podcast are Roberto and North American importer Evan Marigdoglou. For 2009, RRD is rolling out a slew of next generation and brand new products with fresh graphics, designs and construction techniques In addition to the Cult, Hardcore and Freestyle Waves, there is a Twinser line, extra Freestyle Wave Sizes and they have launched a new lower range construction called X-Tech (lighter than the current Glass-Wood construction). They a;sp have new kites in their 09 lineup: The Passion, HyperType2 and Obsession.
