Ouch! i landed on my ribs 6months ago or so. I think if i was wearing a waist harness id have been OK, i was out kiting the next day with and extra wetsuit wrapped around my torso for "protection" sounds funny but it worked! i did the same wipepout and my ribs didnt feel it. i also stuffed some neoprene in my springsuit. But read fine print: im NOT a doctor

hope you get better soon.

broken rib is no joke!!! in my first days of learning to jump i sent my kite waaaayyyy to far and got yanked sideways, and somehow my waist harness was positioned just right and the top edge found its way into my 'cage. Fracture!!!! best part was the doc, who said "i know u wont listen to me and stop kiting for the next 6 weeks, so just keep in mind that every time you re-injure it, mark your calendar 6 more weeks till it wont hurt anymore. About 3 months later i involuntary stopped kiting (summertime) and 6 weeks after that, i was healed!!!! that must be why they make so much money, smart asses

I hurt my back and ribs sooo many times... then I switched to nitrous shorts (hidden seat harness) and no more problems. I hope they don't stop making them... I noticed they went down to just one or two colors.

Been buying up the older ones for backup.
