Upham... Possible DW today 11/11
Would like to ride today around 11am.
Will be at Upham in WNW or W. If winds are NW, would like to do a DW. Post on here if interested, we can figure out details. We have 2 guys going so far. |

Gonna hang at Upham. Winds still decent. Just started to rain, but will pass.
Too much W for a decent DW. |

Downwinder Questions.....
Please pardon this request for local knowledge from a newbie. Where is Upton? On NNW winds on the Gulf where do you normally start and finish down winders? Do you normally take cell phones or cash in case of a problem? I know some finish at the Undertow on St. Pete Beach. Would like to join in when you do the next one.

Upham beach is about 2 miles north of Don Cesar.
When doing DWs, def. bring 2 bucks and booties (for trolley). DWs sort of suck on NNW (and definitely suck on N, at least if starting south of John's Pass). NW is the absolute best. Commonly start in the Indian Rocks area and stop at Undertow. Today was pretty good out at Upham, especially starting about 1.5 hours ago (12:30). Still blowing good out there now, but everyone packed up. Thanks for the loaner kite, Roy. |

Tomorrow(thurs) might be a decent day for a DW. Predictions are NW. I'm down for a DW.
