Default Ozone Travel and Cabrinha Announce

Ozone Travel and Cabrinha are pleased to announce the 2008 Cabrinha Race Series Grand Prize;
Four nights for two people, including breakfast and dinner at the stunning Boca Paila Lodge along the historic Mayan Riviera, Mexico. The Boca Paila is located 30 minutes south from Tulum in the Sian Ka’an Biosphere.

Founded in 1964 by the Gonzalez family, today Ricardo Gonzalez (yes, he kites!) welcomes his guests; a colorful mix of fishermen and kiteboarders to the Boca Paila Lodge, and treats everyone like family! “Mi casa es tu casa” smiles Ricardo, and he is frequently around to join in for a kite session.

The Boca Paila Lodge hosts only 20 guests at a time in their spacious duplex bungalows, amongst the palm trees and facing the sea. Breakfast and dinner are served family-style inside the lodge, while lunch is typically taken outside on the terrace. After a day on the water, it is customary to gather at the bar and chat about everything and anything. (Ricardo is a wine connoisseur, and the Lodge’s wine selection is impressive!)

Just in front of the Boca Paila Lodge are the crystal clear, warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. Intermediate to advanced riders can launch on the beach, and head out for a day of ocean riding. About a mile offshore is a stunning reef that is part of the same Mayan Coral Reef that runs to Belize.
Beautiful downwinders are also possible, thanks to Marco of ExtremeControl.net, who organizes downwinders either to the Lodge from Tulum, or from the Lodge down the coast.
A serious treat is to head out over the reef and bottom formations to the waves, rolling in and breaking off the point. After a serious play session, head directly towards shore to the butter flat water of the river mouth, where Boca Paila’s skiff is waiting on shore with a cooler full of drinks and lunch!

Tulum is appropriate for all skill levels, with beginning and/or advanced instruction available through ExtremeControl.net.
