skyway was crap in the afternoon..

little wind.. barely enough to plane on a 16m waroo with large board.

and the tragic event was that Paul Fox dropped his 15m Ion and the thing would not relaunch.. didnt see him until he was too close to shore.. slowing being pulled in.. just as his kite hit the beach it must have scraped against a sharp rock as it took out a large section of his LE and BOOM .. entire kite deflated.

RIP ION 15m

Paul said "well, its a great excuse to pick up a new kite"..
