So the wind is great but the parks are closed...
Called my instructor up at 8am today to we if we could go out and get a 3hr lesson but Matheson Hammocks and Crandon are closed...and Collins and 87 is not good for a newbe....so im sitting at home looking at 15mph winds out my window....

though it was only windsurfing there...he said he was going to Collins and 87th...but it was on onshore wind so not very safe for some one with only 3hrd of lessons...

Hobie Beach is a dangerous launch, lots of guys racked up there over the years. You might try sea taxi with miamikiteboarding.com. It costs, less than a dive charter as a rule though. You end up far from land in shallow water. It is easy to progress rapidly under those conditions.
I wouldn't feel too bad about missing yesterday in Miami. A wind graph from Crandon appears below:
