Default Water Temp

Hey all-

Haven't been out in about a month or so... would a shorty still be enough to keep you warm right now?

Thanks!

The days prior to the front when the wind is out of the south I have been in a shorty with a long sleeve wind breaker over it. The next day when the front passes thru I am in a dry suite. You would have to me from not here to be warm in a shorty on the northwind days.

With the air temps falling into the 40's at night the water temps will be dropping to the 50's soon (they are currently in the low 60's). I personally would go with a full wetsuit on the warmer days (60's or 70's air temp).

I also use the 110 degree rule adding the air temperature to the water temperature. If it's below 110 I stay off the water.

Stay warm. It's not fun to get hypothermia.
