On the water at 8am today. Blowin' nicely, fast and fun on 11m with small board. Winter weather rules!

It was awesome out there for sure. I was pretty confident it was going to blow (30 degree temp. differential from morning low to high), but wow... I didn't think it would last that long or be that strong. It was solid 18 for about 2 hours then solid 15 for another hour. Nice.
I assumed it was going to slow down, and rigged my 15m, but it just got more windy. (shoulda rigged the 9......)
Tom finally got some good riding in too, he missed the weekend.
Fun morning for sure. That SW channel certainly knows how to funnel NE wind.

not as drastic a temp difference for tommorow, 52-72, but maybe a chance again in the a.m.?? saw a few forecasts for 10-15knts. caught with the pants down on this one today, lesson learned shouldn't have slept in. anybody else up for it??

I will go if it's blowing.
Right when the sun comes up, as it's warming is usually the best wind.
Right around 10 am it usually wimps out.
I don't know how this stuff works, but I just take note of patterns/trends.
The more above 20 degrees difference on the BN9 forecast, the better.
20 is a coin toss. Today was 29 degrees... wow......

Crap, I just realized, I can't go. My "fixed" kite blew a seam and almost exploded the first day out.
Not good. Maybe I can get it fixed and pray for a sea breeze.
