Default Dominican Republic South Island

Does anyone know anything about kiting the South/Southeast side of the Dominican Republic? I'm going to be spending a lot of time in the DR, but won't be able to make it to Cabarete often (at least not every day....).

Gracias ~

I was in Punta Cana a few Julys ago and I was recommended to don't even bother about bringing kite gear. No wind there.
I was there for 7 days, my hotel was on a private beach AND it was blowing hard ALL 7 days. The windsurfing guys were having a blast while I had to sit on the beach angry at myself
