Default after the expo

I don't know if any of you kiters have interest in other water sports. If you do, you're in luck because the 2006 US Open Waterski Finals are being held Saturday night at downtown disney after the expo show. Its the first water sports tournament to be held at night and they partnered with Disney, the Surf Expo and Mastercraft to take care of the production. The top skiers in the world will be there competing. For anyone that wants to stick around after the surf show, the tournament is free for spectators and will be held from 7pm to 10pm. The order of events is posted on the website www.usopenofwaterskiing.com There will be the finals in men's and women's slalom, trick and jump.

I am going for sure. For anyone that doesn't want to drive back at night, there are group rates avaiable for waterskiing spectators at one of the disney resorts. Let me know if you want more info.

Even if you're not "into" waterskiing, i can guarantee you that the tournament will be exciting. From 200 feet jumps off a ramp to CRAZY tricks to slalom on VERY short lines with VERY fast boat speeds... its definitely an outdoor sports enthusiasts event and we can hopefully talk to some of THEM into coming to our next event!!!!!!

That's good to hear. I remember seeing that guy jump when the skiing and wakeboarding were all in one tour and that was 10 years ago. Not sure how old he was then. That ski jumping is really hard on the knees too. I'm always looking for encouraging things like that to let me know I can still push myself hard for quite a few years before I have to slow it down.

I think we're going to expo on Sunday... might hit the cable park before hand.

I guess you'll be there as a "buyer" w/Extreme Kites... If I make it, I'll try giving you a call. I'll be going with Bell Lake Marine.

These shows are always good to see all the new stuff in the various sports... then there's the bonus of all the girls walking around in bikinis. :P

So I have heard.
I think we are showing up on Sunday mainly just to buy most of the kiting gear there. We are taking a trailer to bring it all back in, as well as my truck.
Unfortunately, I don't think this will leave me much time to 'look around'.

It was fun Phil. Great to have you and Rob up here.
I still haven't gotten that vid up on our site, but we have the clip of Jimbo.

Here are a couple pics of surf expo. You have to open the last one
