Picnic Island to Davis Island Yacht Club Crossing

This past Friday I completed a strapless bay crossing from Picnic Island to Davis Island YC. I had to beat upwind around the "active firing range" of Macdill until I was able to head downwind to the Yacht Club where there was free beer and Hurricane Mix.
In all it was about 15 miles and 1.5hrs. I was happy to introduce many of the club members to the newest discipline in sailing.

This morning would have been a good opportunity to have another go at it. Was thinking about riding some of the waves that break along the spoil islands.
