Default Wall diving in Grand Cayman

Getting ready to drop down the wall off Georgetown, Grand Cayman to over 1200 ft. deep on the Atlantis submersible.

Cayman Mon! We're about to plunge off the lower left corner for some intriguing bottom time ala dry sub.

The dive

More at:

Stalked crinoids posing on the wall at about 800 ft. deep. These guys actually walk around on all those legs. More about these unusual creatures at:

Sea Fans hanging out in the dark.

Almost within free diving range, about 400 ft.!

Some other guys hanging out with the submersible rigged out for technical diving, probably with trimix.
Gotta love all those tanks and weight. We used to wear FIVE tanks for this sort of thing.

The sub's bigger brother that runs within 100 ft. of the surface with over 40 passengers goes to sea.

"Get on the bus ..."

There are still other things to think about doing if the wind isn't on in the Caymans. A personal favorite
was breathhold diving down to around 80 to 100 ft. deep on the dropoff using a rented electric dive scooter.

The droppff or wall is just to the west of the shoreline in the deep blue water off the DiveTech shop at West End of Grand Cayman.

The miniwall

Makes you feel like Aquaman, uh or Aquagirl as appropriate! See the guys at DiveTech at the link
above for more details on the gear.
