The 2007 TampaBay KiteMasters Race

Hello all you bored and depressed Kiteboarders!!!

It has definitely been a slow summer for wind but fear not, very soon the air will cool, the trees will rustle, and your addiction will once again rage out of control.

but... THE TIME TO TRAIN IS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

because....

THE 2007 TAMPABAY KITEMASTERS IS COMING SOON TO A COAST NEAR YOU!!!!!

This year the TampaBay KiteMasters is kicking off the Florida competitions with a 25 mile downwind race from Honeymoon Island to Bongos Beach Bar on St Pete Beach in NOVEMBER!!!!

The website is in progress and will be up and running soon.

We are in need of several assistants to help make this year another success. Here is a list of positions that we need someone to fill ASAP:

1. SPONSOR Delegate
- responsibilites include contacting last years sponsors and asking, begging, pleading for their continued support.
- finding and contacting NEW sponsors to donate prizes and swag for competitors.
- this is a VERY important need we have since ALL entry fee money is being returned to the riders in the form of CASH CASH CASH.
- if anyone knows of a kite company, a local company, or really any company willing to donate cash or prizes please contact me ASAP

2. MEDIA/PUBLICITY Delegate
- responsibilities include contacting all media involved last year
- contact all kite magazine, website, newspapers, TV, etc etc
- also responsible for working with photographers and video crews to ensure the event is well documented

3. START and FINISH Line helpers.
- we need 2 people to be in charge of setting up the start line and sounding the start horn (fairly simple)
- we also need 3-4 people at the finish line to recieve riders cards as the finish and to help land kites immediately.
(each rider will have a laminated card with his/her name that will be handed to the finish line judge who will write your place and time. therefore ALL riders will know their finish position and time)

If any of these positions sound like something you are up for please PM me immediately. Unfortunately the pay sucks and there are no French benefits.
