All CKA events will follow the tour guidelines, and only CKA affiliated members will be eligible to participate. There is a one-time $25 fee for all CKA rides which allows them to compete in the Freestyle, Wave, Kiteloop, and Strapless sessions. Prizes and points will be awarded to riders and teams. For more information and to register visit www.wekite.com.

Be a part of the Industry’s First Team Relay Series!
This event is open to EVERYONE, so put your team together and sign up now! Each team will consist of 4 riders, 1 kite, & 1 board. All four team members must share the same kite and board by taking turns navigating the course. There will be a designated staging area on the beach where riders will pass the kite and board to their teammate. This is a timed race, and all riders will follow standard sailing rules. The Best of the Best marks the inception of the Team Relay Series, and you have the chance to be a part of history. Get your team together, and sign up today. Space is limited, and teams will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Visit www.wekite.com to register.

Downwind Dash
South Florida is your ultimate downwind destination, so we have incorporated our favorite rides into this event. Why ride in the same spot, burning your legs to stay upwind, when you can clear your mind and work on your jumps on a 8 mile downwind cruise? Sign up for one run, or get a pass for the entire weekend, and you can be cruising downwind all day long. Work on your turns, or smash some waves as you cruise worry free on a downwind dash. There will be an upwind shuttle leaving every 2 hours from Anchor Park. Secure your spot in advance at www.wekite.com , as seats on the shuttles will go fast.

Free Kite Clinics
Come fly a trainer kite with some of our local certified instructors! Now is your chance to come learn about safety and awareness of the fastest growing water sport out there! The BEST part about it is that it is FREE! Sign up at the registration table at the event to secure your spot in learning to be a kitesurfer!

Local Vendors & Beach Cleanups
Support your local vendors by browsing their booths which will be located along A1A. There will also be daily beach clean ups, and information for how you can help save the planet by doing your part to go green. There will be something for everyone.

AFTER PARTY
The CKA knows how to party, and so does Kevro’s Art Bar. Join us for drink specials, and a Beach Fashion Show on Saturday Night. NPX, Best, and Slingshot will be showcasing the latest fashion trends in the industry, and local vendors will highlight their best beach ware. Lynn University Fashion students will be hosting the event, and DJ Needles will be on the wheels of steel. All CKA, Downwind Dash, & Relay participants will receive free entrance to this event, while others will be charged a $5 cover. Prepay today at www.wekite.com and get this party started….quickly.

Wanted to put up a few photos of the event site ...

The event area is north of the normal kitebeach just east of Anchor Park

Looking north over the event area

You can get some nice swells here with the right winds and setup. The area does get its share of wind chop at times.

The forecast has improved overnight. With a bit of luck thermals may bump the wind speeds up a bit and local conditions may bend the winds sideshore at the beach as often happens. Looks like rideable conditions may be on, fingers crossed.

The forecast changed again. A little stronger but still offshore later today and tomorrow. If it stays clear and sunny there is a chance side shore thermal winds may build up at the beach independent of the prevailing offshore winds later on. This happens fairly frequently but is rarely in the forecast. If it happens, it should be rideable. If this comes about, be careful to be near or better onshore when it turns off (usually late in the day or around sunset) and the wind reverts to offshore again. Easy to lose boards otherwise. Hope the wind comes through for the event.
