be careful there, the thruster is more Clike because its bridle is set up to pull the wing tips in more then the waroo does, this is why it feels more c like in the air, but this also decreases the projected area, so unless it makes up for it by flying faster then the waroo, i dont think it will have as much pull.... but hopefully im wrong and you love it

I am thinking it will be pretty quick. If you look at its ratings on Eclipse's site it shows that it turns quickly. The Chameleon is rated an 8 out of 10 vs. the Thruster rating 10 out of 10...so like you said, hopefully I'll like it...

Toby..
not questioning your purchase as I am excited as hell to give the 12m thruster a try..

But why did you buy a 12 not a 14?

How much was the purchase? If you dont mind me (us) asking?

no, i mean why did you get the 12m thruster instead of the 14m thruster?

unless you were looking for a higher wind kite..

again.. not knocking.. I am hoping these are great kites.

charts do nothing for me as every rider is different.
thats why its difficult to judge a kite based on how someone else says it is..
will never be the same for the other person.

i know BEST posted their charts on the waroo and people went nuts trying to argue the finite details .. people still are.

gotta ride them to see if they fit your style.

I love my 12m waroo and for my size and riding level when the conditions are there for me to ride it, I have the most fun. I have fun on the 16 and the 9 as well.. but the 12 is my mid range kite where its blowing 16 to 22 which is what I consider perfect fun kiting conditions.

If I were buying a Thruster I would go for the 12 myself.

im not to sure about his wind ranges, i could be wrong but it says that the 3m nano will work in 19knots for a 175lb rider???????

we get 20 plus here every once and a while and ive never seen even are smallest riders on anything under 7m.....

i was looking at the 6m nano for hurricanes, but it says its for only 15-38????

The chart was to show Danny the difference in the Chameleon and Thrusters turning speed, that's all. Hybrid vs. Bow...

Honestly the 12 is all we spoke about. I sent an e-mail asking about the 14 but have not heard back yet. I'll let you all know when I hear back. But if I am "stuck" with the 12, I think I'll manage, I may just need 15-18 to get going...

Here is more on Eclipse kites on kiteforum. A portion of all kites sold goes to the John Wayne Cancer Foundation. Pretty cool of Dimitri and Chris to contribute to a good cause, they are the only kite company that I know of doing this right now...also there are a couple of reviews on the Kiteforum thread here that are pretty positive from riders who have demoed these kites...
