Kiteboard Masters 2010 In Photos!
For the seventh year running Christophe Ribot of Miami Kiteboarding with Neil Hutchenson's expert commentary along with lots of volunteers, riders and sponsors put on a kiting event at Crandon Park, Key Biscayne, FL. Had a great turnout as usual and even had WIND. This has been a rare thing sad to say this wind season. Have a lot of photos from the event and it is continuing tomorrow with more action on the water. For now, just a few shots to give a feel for the days events.
 Like I said, nice turnout and for good conditions!  Northward along Crandon Park, Fisher Island and into Sobe  Damo and Matt wait for the next course racing heat. Note the very effective and sharp fins.  Melissa gears up. Did I hear something about her promoting a line bathing suits? If so, looking good.  Lining up for the start of the course race  Kent moving so fast he blurred the shot, folks in the background came in pretty sharp.  The way the course was setup, the leading riders crossed through advancing kiters further down the course. Damo and Melissa cross paths.  Matt rounds the mark  Kent jibs in a tail chase with Damo. That is the order they stayed in for all four course races. Guys were moving!  Oliver free riding on the periphery of the racing  Josh launches a sneak attack from the rear past Garry More to come, stay tuned ...

The event was REALLY COOL! I went down there and it looks like you were right there was wind indeed. Cool stuff.

Nice!
New here, but have been lurking.
Nice shots! Your first one really gives a great flavor for the day. Looking forward to more! First year shooting there and it was really great- Christophe and crew and, in fact, everyone was great. We have barely started to process ours, but did get a few up as teasers on SF Windsports. The discussions here seem both fun and informative and glad we finally registered!

Welcome aboard, great shots too! A little more sun would have helped the shots Saturday but it was a blast all the same. How did it go on Sunday? The weather degraded (lots of ran, not much wind), up this way in late morning.

 Walking down to the beach   Damo says hi  Jaime eases off speed  Richies is up   Josh, Leslye and Melissa hang out between race heats  Stacey throws one   Arch supports!  Tom works out those kinks, aloft  Damo is all over, looking good too   Richies shreds as a new up and coming rider boosts

Patrick puts together a nice clip from Kent's GoPro helmet cam from the course racing at the Miami Kiteboard Masters. Kent is competing at the world competition in Texas currently. He came in second at the Masters and the speed shows. Checkout how he passed the kiter in front of him passing inside at the first mark. Great job guys and could luck in Texas! Here is another one from Patrick also of Kent a couple of months prior. Training for course racing, nice turns.
