CRAZY-FLY vs. UNDERGROUND
Any reviews/comparison/suggestions on which company to go for? I'm looking into the Underground 138 or the Crazy-fly 138 pro model. I do mostly flat water riding, i weigh about 190 and I'm a medium level rider, i can cruise upwind and jump comfortably.

I had the 06 UG 132 and loved it in all conditions. I rode that board in waves, chop, and flat water. The flex in the board was great in the chop. I also have the CF 125 Ltd Pro, and love that board in all conditions also. The board is a bit stiffer, but is great for jumps and soft landings. I recently sold my UG, only because I found myself riding the CF all the time. My boyfriend has the new UG 138 and likes it a lot. I don't think you could go wrong with either board. Emerald Coast Kiteboarding has all the new CFs in stock, and they look sharp. Give them a call, and maybe Wayne can help you out.

If you are riding primarily flat water, I would strongly suggest considering the Flexifoil boards (2007), either the 130 or the 135.
The 135 would almost be a one board quiver, if it weren't for sub 13 knot days. The boards are sick. The first time I hopped on Billy Parker's I ordered one the next day. Most who demo it love it, and we now have several locals on Flexi boards. Here is a "review" http://www.extremekiteskiteboarding....ighlight=flexi Lots of other shops getting pimped lately, so I may as well pimp the original and best shop in Florida, Extreme Kites. Daryl will beat Emerald's price on Crazy Fly, UG, Skywalker, whatever. He also carries Flexi, UG, Nobile, Brunotti, Spleene....... http://www.oceanextremesports.com/ca...s-c-21_23.html Last edited by Skyway Scott; 11-17-2007 at 12:02 PM. |
