Cabrinha Wakeskate
Alright all you wakeskaters, the Cabrinha Wakeskates just arrived to Miami and are ready to ship all over North and South America. You can check the specs at http://usa.cabrinhakites.com/wakeskate.html and if you live in the USA, buy online directly from the website.
This is the board designed in connection with ripping wakeskater Jason Stone. You might have seen him recently destroying it in the pages of SBC Kiteboard magazine. If you are bored of your twintip, unstrap and check out the possibilities of a wakeskate. They make a great second board at only $199. The Cabrinha Wakeskate features: Set of 25mm fins Grip Tape, or EVA deck version ABS rail to prevent cracking and breaking Bottom sheet for durability against kickers/sliders/rails Perfect balance weight at ~10 lbs. Enjoy!!

Variety is a very good thing. New challenges to pursue particularly in calmer waters! What sort of footware has worked out best with these? Thanks for the suggestion Todd.

Globe makes a set of shoes called "The Goods". They are about $60, but they have been sighted in Broward county Marshalls for under $30. Any old shoe will work. The EVA board doesn't require shoes, but it you get serious, I would recommend them. I can do kick flips and shovits on the EVA version without shoes... The grip tape is a different feel even with the shoes, so I can see many riders preferring that version.
