Dont do it. They are generally made from wakeboarding molds and they have a TON of rocker and they are super heavy... so the wind range on them is pretty bad. There is good reason that West Marine gave up selling kite gear despite the popularity of the sport... they were selling Liquid Force.. or not selling depending on how you look at it.

Well, thats my experience with them anyway so far.

Chekc out some videos and pics you will see vari to dre to betrand riding some lf gear at times with painting of their respective companies on it.
lf gear rocks. Only the first year drops (the year before i started kiting) where heavy..

They've straightened out their game the past year or two.

LF donated a 2007 mission 138 as a prize for the race. Billy won it.
I cant tell ya how it rides but it was half the weight of normal LF boards. If I could've picked a prize that would have been it.

Thanks, I didn't know about the 07 stuff either.

If thats true then the 2007 mission at $299 is probably a pretty good deal!

That board runs like $500 new.

ive had my mission for about 2months and love it, great all around board and very light,
the only reason i wouldnt recomend it is if your looking for a flatwater only, upwind machine... but thats the only negative i can say about it

tom, its the board you tried when we switched at LP that night, you said it was really smooth but required a bit more power then you float

The reason the mission requires more power to ride than a float per say, is that the mission is a wake style board. That means more rocker also the channels slow it down because of more drag. If you compare it to a regular kite board like an agression or ug wave tray it will look like a bow. A wake style board needs to be ridden powered and plenty of back foot pressure.

Ive had the mission since they came out. Ive been ridding one since before the came out. So I have lots of time on one in both flat water and surf and it kicks ass in both.
