The forecast I read earlier was showing about 12kts, must have changed on the update.... does it really need to be honking to go out and enjoy it? maybe its time to break out the bigger kites and get a different feel for it? a relaxed enjoyment?

For me my friend, the answer is yes! I need a good 16-18 with my big kite and board to have some fun.

Plus it helps if you are 150 pounds, I am not.

There ended up being some decent wind Sunday afternoon North County beaches. Did you get any Danny? Today was even better....had to work like most.

Interesting first post by someone who signed on to the forum in January don't you think?

Default Downwinder

Hey, a downwinder with a big kite and a big board could be enjoyable.

I am all about them. I can remember many a time taking out the 17 Contra and just crusin down the beach for miles without a care in the world. Always more fun with a friend, but a lone session can be true therapy.

I would much rather cruise downwind along the beach than mow the yard on flat water. Much better scenery.......
