NWS doesn't offer much in its forecast:

THURSDAY

SOUTH WINDS 5 TO 10 KNOTS. SEAS 2 FEET OR LESS.
INTRACOASTAL WATERS A LIGHT CHOP. ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE MORNING...THEN SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON.

Try not to get your hopes up this time of year. Useable wind is just too rare. At the same time, thermal winds can come up rapidly without much warning or forecasts at times, so it is good to be paying attention and ready to roll. These days there have been some bumps up in breeze during the day at times but not much at quiting time.

We could get some useable winds tomorrow even if NWS says nothing about it. If it stays clear, without much of a cloud buildup or rain, the odds go up for thermal winds later on in the day.

In non-hurricane years, August has been like a millpond the wind has been so light. The cold fronts should be coming soon. Hang in there and fingers crossed.

Thanks for the advise Rick, Direction has been the biggest killer as well for me, I can not get started on a East wind. If it is south and in the 12mph + range I will give it a shot after work. Time to break in the Contra 23.5m. I fell it for the first time 2 days ago and even with the wind being at 8mph it had no problem staying in the air. My best run so far was on a south wind at the end of June, I had to walk over a mile back up the beach but it was worth every step, I was using a 17m element then and was underpowered because of my size. But I think that will be a non issue with the Contra. 8)
