No wind in tarifa right now,

los roques season doesn't start till end of Jan,

brazil just ended the windy season,

NC too cold and absolutely nobody there right now,

DR is alright,

But I pick none of the above, Either La Ventana or Puerto Rico!!!

Costa Rica might be good too.

why stay in tampa with no wind?

I'll let you know BigR. I'm heading to CR tomorrow morning. I plan on kiting either Lake Arenal or Bahia Salinas. La Ventana sounds like an awesome place! PR would be great...I'd stay in Isabella.

Are you flying to San Jose or Liberia?

Kev, never been there but I hear from alot of gorge people La Ventana is really nice.
The only places I've been in MX are Punta San Carlos Baja and San Carlos Guaymas and also Rocky Point across the border from AZ. First two are windy as heck and depending on your temperament, very different. Camping vs small town

You will most likely find plenty of wind in Costa Rica. Bring SMALL kites.

I've been there 5 times (Dec, Jan, Feb, MR, Ap) and it was awesome every time. Too windy sometimes, but now with modern kites the whole idea of kiting there is MUCH better. There are really only a few spots to ride though.

If you want more info send me a PM with your tel#

I'm thinking about going to CR too...with this crap wind we've been having here...this is the worst I've ever seen it.
