Some spots in the run cross shipping channels, and open bay 20-50 ft. deep. Empty mangrove shoreline for miles. Now the secrets out. Only problem is that it is pretty secluded, only 2 or 3 spots to exit without a hike through the bushes. Reminds me of the planet of the aps run in hatteras but 150 times better. If you had a boat you could stretch the run out for another 3-6 NM. [/img]
Thanks for posting about this run. What are your prefered winds for this area? It sounds like the conditions range from butter in the shallows to some chop in the deeper areas.

You are right, it is good to have an out if something breaks. I thought about that in runs down Biscayne Bay say to Key Largo or Islamorada. There is a lot of mangrove swamp bordering the course. Swimming/walking out could be more memorable by far than the run itself. A chase boat can solve a lot of serious issues.

What other distance runs have guys kited out there?
