Default Tips for better shark photos

That is assuming your camera doesn't scare them off. At one time I thought UW cameras were one of the more effective shark repellants. Despite that, it is possible to shoot sharks particularly in organized dives.

Here are some tips from Sport Diver provide by some of the photo contributors to the magazine.

"6 Tips for Photographing Sharks
Caribbean Reef Shark
Ty Sawyer

Check out these helpful tips from the Sport Diver staff and contributors to improve your photos of one of nature's most powerful — and beautiful — predators.

1. Stay a bit apart from the other divers

2. Be careful not to overexpose the white underside of sharks

3. Position yourself in the right place and let the sharks come to you.

4. Don't chase the sharks.

5. Communicate ahead of time with the feeder

6. Choose a good dive buddy."
