Default Updates for IKO Instructor Courses in Miami : November & December

Hello,

We are keeping you informed of future IKO Instructor Courses in Florida as the season is about to start :

We have 2 courses scheduled for the next few months:
• November 4th to 8th - Course set up at the last minute due to high demand
• December 9th to 13th

The October course scheduled on 21st to 25th is full already.

A one-day CPR / First Aid course, is always scheduled the day before the ITC begins, for those need it ( as per the pre-requisites to enroll in an ITC.)

We have 6 spaces open for November and 4 in December . Keep in mind we take maximum 8 candidates by Training Course !

REQUIREMENTS to enter the course:

- Being18 years old minimum
- Have a CPR-1st aid ( We organize a 1-day CPR course the day before the start of the ITC )
- Have a boat license
- Kitesurf for at least 1 year, being Level 3 , and land jumps and basic transitions.
- Being an IKO Assistant in a school or,
- Have some teaching experience in Kitesurfing or another watersport , other Teaching background ( recommendation letters or diplomas requested )

Note : Previous Kitesurfing Teaching experience is best, as the Examiner will evaluate your abilities at the end of the course.
A boat license is not required in most of states in the USA , we will check your skills during the course.

The PROGRAM is scheduled as follow:
The 5-day IKO course always run from Wednesdays to Sundays in our Miami Location, it’s easier for those who work and have to take days off !

- IKO ITC : Wednesday to Sunday from 8.00 am to 5.00pm ( time may vary if needed) in Crandon Park, 4000 Crandon Boulevard 33139 fl key biscayne

It's an intense 5-days course covering all the fields you will need to improve for performing confidently and safely as a kiteboarding instructor :

- Equipment Technical review and fine tuning
- Aerodynamics
- Safety guidelines & procedures
- Meteorology/ Oceanology
- Communication skills
- Teaching psychology
- Complete Lesson Plan reviews
- Boat teaching procedures
- Live teaching situation for the last 2 days .

What does the IKO Certification brings you ?

IKO Headquarters are based in Cabarete , DR, and represented worldwide via 130 Affiliated schools, 5,000 Instructors , since its foundation in 2001.

ITC FEES

Cost of the ITC is $790 which includes 2 YEARS of IKO PRO membership and all the materials for the Course.
