I can't promise, but it very commonly fills in at 8am or so until 10 on days like today.
It's not as windy as I thought it would be. I think it is definitely 15 knots at the moment b/c of the movement in my yard. If I wanted guaranteed nuking wind and my schedule permitted, I would come out to the SW at 6 or 6:30pm and plan on the 25 to 30 nuke while the sun is setting. I have all day off and live 5 minutes from the SW, so it's a no brainer what I will do. I am leaving right now. |

i think I'll just meet my buddy at eb early afternoon and take turns on his kite and get the 9m ready for the possible nuker around 6pm.

You should be hating the pulley, thats why your bridle broke. Make sure they are free and spinning, and get the sand out of it and off the bridle so it doesn't grind through the bridle like sand paper.
BTW, it's blowing 17 knots at E.B. confirmed at 8:26. |

Who do I contact for Lessons?
I am an old high school buddy of Zack Kaplan's. I am posting this request on this thread because I do not see how to post a new thread - sorry.
I am an old Laser sailer and high school wake boarder (back in the day). I want to get going in this sport. Thanks for your help! Gris |

Gris..
check out http://www.epickitesurfing.com/ theres a link for lessons.. some great instructors in our local area. bit of advice.. we are nearing the end of the season .. getting lessons now might not be useful as the winds will start to die off until fall. but.. if you do any traveling.. you might benefit. just hate to see anyone pay the $$ then have to wait 3 or 4 months to put your new skillz to use. you need 15 to 18 mph winds to learn in. Too little and you will get frustrated. Too much and you will get hurt. 15 to 18 is perfect learning wind. good luck! |

Don't get suckered into a lesson unless it's blowing at least 13-15mph... or you'll be throwing away your hard earned cash!

Zack was one of the original dawn patrollers.
Last time I saw him (last summer) he was really into flying planes. I agree, for your water lesson a great day would be 15 or so. Don't waste your time and money in really light wind. There are lots of instructors around. Water sports West is where Zack got most of his gear and they provide lessons. I imagine that is where he would steer you so I mention it. |
