wish you guys would send some our way up here in PC. We got skunked out yesterday!! Kept picking up, then completely dropped off to NOTHING. All I want for Christmas is wind, and I don't know if I can wait until Sunday/Monday/Tuesday.... Send it!

Lookz like we did send it, because it just dropped to 10 on the Skyway buoy here, which means it might be blowing 5 mph at the launch.
This lack of wind is making me suicidal... http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/wma-p...692625-8021729 |

We just got a good upgrade on our forecast for this afternoon..15-20. Yeah, we'll see..... don't get hopes up too high, as they might get dashed like yesterday. Was it really blowing up in the 20's for you yesterday, as the sensor was reading? We were all jealous up here.

WindRyder, the Skyway sensor is notorious for always reading high (compared to the wind where we actually launch).
It has for several years and unfortunately probably always will. It's basically a useless "tool". I just got back. It was blowing 4. It says 17. http://www.iwindsurf.com/windandwher...149&siteID=812 At times yesterday it was good (around 3 to 5 it averaged 13 gusting to 17 or so) , but by looking at the sensor, it looked good all day. I tend to read other sensors around the area and average them or better yet, stick my finger outside. What I mean to say is, don't worry, the Skyway isn't some magical windy area, it just has a sensor that reads high (alot). |

Sounds like our PC beach sensor. It's been reading 13-15 all morning with gusts up to 17-20. PPPBBBTTTT!!!!

I am done. I injured myself yesterday evening while, of all things, fighting with Tiki over a dog toy. I only outweigh her by 180 pounds. Then I decided to push weight this morning anyhow and do my upper body workout--not a good idea. I think I'll sit this one out and take Mrs. E Bone (aka Mizzle) out shopping later.
It's blowing down here in Bradenton, no question about that. Weird weather. Can't see to make up its mind as to what it wants to do. |
