Default waves at the beach?

havent been in a while since all this east wind started...

i was going to take my son and SUP to the beach friday, are there any waves what so ever, or is it lake flat? if its flat then i might as well just stay on the intercoastal...

also, would i be right to assume the bay is a few degrees warmer then the gulf?

thanx for the help, hope every one is getting some riding time in, cause i know im not

Flat like a lake. Keep in mind that going off the beach with sup in these conditions can catch you off guard. You start off in a dead still flat situation then paddle out until you clear the wind shadow of the buildings on the coast and boom you are hit with 20kts of wind blowing off shore.
