Only asked because none of your posts have ever mentioned kiteboarding. I thought you must be a bot.

Oh no! I've been found out! Yes, I am a bot! I ride skateboards and rollerskates - and now want to kite surf.
Here's some video of my robotic self:

"I had started taking lessons with someone that isn't qualified to give lessons and learned a very valuable lesson the hard way. So I stayed away for a couple months."

T-Chick
Waz this a local instructor that waz "un-qualified" to give lessons?
Some "certified" instructors (pasa, iko, ect.) are still green.
Some "un-certified" instructors are gonna be just fine.
The key is getting a good 15-20mph day in flat water and that is all about luck and karma.
Peace

I'm aware of all these scenarios. The person isn't even a real instructor. It was all a huge mistake on my part.

yeah....riding was still good. I had a blast, only for the simple fact that there were only three of us out there! I've never been to EB when there were so few kiters...can't say the same for kite beach. I was rigged good for the wind but my board was a bit undersized....had some sinking problems. All in all, met a couple good guys and learned how to transition on the board and stay upwind (as best I could with the light wind and small board). Again, good luck with the lessons....you damn bot!

Default What a day!

First off, this would have been a great day to bring the Monkey's to the skyway. The more time we spend on these kites, the more we love them. There is something about these things....they are jumping machines...superfast and lots of power. A combination that is hard to find these days at any price. We'll find another date soon.

An epic day for the shop. Since I started working at the shop, this is the first day Steve (owner), John, and myself all got to kite on the same day. It was something we have been talking about for a long time now. I am glad that I have brought some confidence to the sport and shared the stoke of kiteboarding to my fellow workers. As some of you may know, we are closed on Sunday's now, so hopefully we will have more of these sessions together. Imagine kiting with your boss???

Let's continue to work together to keep our riding locations safe and fun for everyone no matter what level they are. You will see some of my students hitting the waterways soon. They will be asking for help, feel free to give them a hand and keep an eye out for unwanted situations. We were all there once.

Have a great week and see you on the water.

Steve-O

nah...more side-on shore then anything The winds were shifting a bit. I wouldn't have kited if it was offshore. Although the winds did change to offshore towards the latter part of the day (around 5pm).
