Default Good Luck West-Coasters!!!

I hope you guys don't get hammered too bad over there. Looks like the
storm is down to 100 now. With a little luck she won't get stronger before
landfall.
Doesn't look too bad for us on the East coast.
Good luck guys.

I double that sentiment! The storm seems to being stretched and ripped apart somewhat currently on the sat. imagery. Hopefully, it will continue to be shredded and weakened. Good luck to everyone through this, particularly the folks in the Yucatan.

Have you seen tomorrows marine forecast for the east coast Greg? Gusts up to 100 kts. from the south. I hope they will update that and bring it down.

I have a 3 m Wipika Classic that Eric up your way sold me 6 years ago I think. I could four line it, tweak it for max angle of depression and ... go out and get mashed into Rick Marinara against a condo. I could rig a diving air bag on the old helmet, gimme some rebound potential. If I go roaring into the hard stuff, (IF, yeah right!), just twist off the pony bottle and blow that sucker up. Fly in at 70 kts and just bounce off, easy. Like a Love Bug on the windshield of the SUV on Alligator Alley.

Ummm ... nope don't want to do that. Let's see ... I could dust off the toy delta I used a gazillion years ago for a trainer kite, rig it on short lines, say 1 m, Lou does that right? It would be epic, it would be ... torn to shreds in the first minute. Damn!

Wait, I could take the bow and lengthen the back lines two feet and tie the front lines on to the front line bride kite attachment points. That'll depower the hell out of it. Now were talking! Ummm ... no, I bet that sucker will turn more 360's and screw me head first into the dune, light post, whatever. Or ... maybe it would loft me bigtime! Like into orbit or something, what's the escape velocity for a 12 m bow on 27 m lines???

Hey, you know those funky little spring up umbrellas, bout .5 m, how about ...

I guess I just stay home, damn, missed opportunities, NOT!

Lock 'em down good guys for Wilma's visit. The next few days could get intense and the exact opposite of flying weather. I wish she just stayed on the Flintstones.

You might be better off with a drink umbrella from that margarita that you're obviously drinkin!! Might still be overpowered!
Looks like they're starting to favor a more southerly course now. Good luck if it heads your way.

I wish, just drinking in all that cold, actually pretty warm and muggy, reality. A drink umbrella, that's a thought. It could be a variable area kite maxing out at around 1/170 m!

It looks like the whole southern half of Florida is painted by the various models. Hope this puppy doesn't regain much strength.

They seem to be concerned about an increased risk of tornados with this one. It would be good to identify and setup a "safe room" in your house. Something with no windows, in an interior area, etc.. More about this at: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/storm/c...tready/during/

It's on us now. Hang in there Florida folks, it is going to be a intense morning. Transformers are going in the area. Catch you on the flip side.
