Wind
Ikite forecast sucks! LOL
Here are the links I usually use and I have had pretty good luck with my wind guess! Oh yeah these are all on my website under the "Weather" section. www.epickitesurfing.com www.epickitesurf.com www.epickiteboard.com USairnet is always low and it showing at least a decent DP until about 11 and then it going off around 5:30. They are spot on for when the wind is going to pick up and die off. http://usairnet.com/cgi-bin/launch/c...t=Get+Forecast NOAA is showing about the same thing as USAirnet, but I think USairnet gets there prediction from NOAA. Plus NOAA is usually low on there forecast. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/forecast/Map...46680&site=tbw Wunderground is calling for 15 knots. http://www.wunderground.com/MAR/GM/830.html Accuweather is calling for at least 14 mph all day. http://wwwa.accuweather.com/marine/f...33704&metric=0 Intellicast is calling for 15 to 25mph all day on Saturday. http://www.intellicast.com/Local/Wea...ation=USFL0438

The forecast actually looks sweet to me. It might actually blow NE all day, or more likely switch to NW at some point. The chances of rain are minimal to none. That's a pretty good start to a possible sea breeze scenario.
If it is still weak NE at 4 pm, it seems reasonable it will nuke from 6 til sunset. No worries, I think we will get wind one way or the other (NE at sunset or NW at 2pm) Oh.. looking at Ikite for information is worse than throwing bones. I'm in a "tell it like I see it" mood today, and I gotta say, why anyone even looks at Ikite is beyond me. |

It should blow tomorrow but probably not nuking.
http://wxmaps.org/pix/avnmr.slp.html Looks like 12-18 knots all day but will be dead on Sunday. Seabreeze will begin to make it fluky between 2 PM and 6 PM. |
