some directionals jump to the moon and like it and jump better than twins plus are indestructible , surface to air from 9 yrs ago comes to mind.

4 fins are better for light wind, plane up faster and are slashier on small waves.

3 fins are better for heavy wind, plane up slower and carve better on big waves.

5'9" seems to be the magic size, all other things being equal

I had the placebo 5 ft. Great board for around here. If I get a new one Ill get the 5'4 placebo for this season. rode it behind a boat this summer and smashed the nose pretty good so instead of patching for the 4th time l might just get a new one. definatly worth looking at the surfskates though as they are much more fun in the st pete chop imo. if your in swell then a bigger traditional surfboard will be worthwhile. a 5'6 lost tri fish would be a nice board for that. I have a 5'8 tri fish that is great for swell with a kite. and a 6' classic fish that will never be riden with a kite...

I've got a great Jimmy Lewis Rocket Fish (Epoxy 5'8") strapless.

Anyone had any luck putting straps on a epoxy board? Like these NSI makes?

Or these:

I guess I could just work on strapless skills, but like boosting too much!
