My husbands first love is not me however, it is Kiting. But, I don't mind taking a back seat to his kites because he is a great man. Anyway, I'm not too familiar with all the equiptment and accessories so I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea for a Father's Day gift for my husband. Preferrably no more than $100-150.

My husband is about intermediate level and already has 3 kites (9m, 12m, 16m) and two boards one is a HC, the other I forgot the name because he just recently got it.

All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Happy Daddy's Day to all Future, New, and Have been Daddy's.

Thaks to all in advance for your FASSSST and detailed responses as always!!!

Hello Marilyn,

Well I applaud your committment and even more so to your understanding of your lucky hubby's focus on kiteboarding. Some gift ideas follow:

1. A day offshore kiteboarding in the flats when the wind is on. You could do this through miamikiteboarding.com or kitesurftheearth.com on Biscayne Bay or kste.net off Key West. They may be other outfits that do this sort of thing as well. When the wind is good, a good session on the flats is like a trip overseas without the plane trip.

2. A weekend away to the Keys, St. Augustine, Jupiter, the Panhandle, etc. when the wind is on, for you both. NOTE: for reliable, good safe wind in Florida, you may have to wait until the fall shortly.

3. You could get him a helmet, impact vest.

4. You could get him a Neil Pryde Heatseaker top shown below:

5. You could get him some DVDs like:

http://kiteflix.com/

The following are available a many Florida kiteboarding retailers:

6. You could get him some adjustable Martin bindings for his board.

http://www.martintechnologies.com/

7. You could get him a handheld windmeter

8. You could get him ... SOME KITE PANTS!!!

9. You could rig him out with SeaSpecs or other narly water glasses

10. You could keep his riding life more tangle free with a Turbolauncher

http://www.kitelauncher.com/

11. You get him a kite control bar. There are dozens out there to consider.

Other ideas out there?

Have a wonderful Father's Day with your lucky hubby!
