Default Photos Of Past Islamorada Invitationals

Several years of these events, wanted to throw up some photos from other years.

This time from 2004 ...

Flat water out to the sand bar.

Lots of gear in the prep area

Brad ski's out through the riders

SS is in the house, looking good too!

This looks like it has been put together through Photoshop, even to me. It wasn't though.

Holiday Isle and the Monkey Bar provided a great venue and vantage point for a kiting event.

Kent, in a helmet, chucks one

The crowd goes wild, really!

I think this was the first South Florida comp in which kickers were used. The guys took to them in no time.
You can see still more photos from the 2004 event at http://fksa.org/forumdisplay.php?f=58

Had the event one last time in 2005 but unfortunately the wind didn't cooperate. Things are laid on for 2009, been some strong fronts coming through too. Should be fun.

Sure was, is. No way, thought you were the only guy allowed to wear a red baseball cap. I've been wrong about that for five years?!

Can't always have honking strong wind, 2005 was one such year. It was last time the II was run until now.
Here are some images from that year ...

Light and offshore winds, need to get out of land wind shadow. How, here's one way.

Had a bunch of great shots of guys being pulled over the kicker but no helmets so I couldn't use any of the photos here. Too bad.

Kent and Todd, is Todd shorter?

Always nice parties in the Keys, sandwiching up

CJ's wired for sound

It's a wrap!

Islamorada's a great venue, looking forward to it again.

The forecast is a lot better for this weekend, should be great!

Welcome! Here's some more. As good as 2004 was, 2003 was an outstanding event as well. Thrills chills and frozen drinks too.

A look at II03 ...

Kent grabs a seat

Brad throws down a nice one

Fabian in his banana yellow pants really stood out. Made for some good shots too.

Hamish was the first guy to use a kite leash that I saw for wake style tricks, here at II03. Way to go Hamish, thanks for leading the way!

Riding outside of the box?

A nasty squall line blew through at the leading edge of a cold front. No one was hurt this time but it did provide some drama.

Life on bar time, don't hit the boats!

Andre Phillip rides in.

More fun to come, soon! See more shots from the original posts from six years ago at:
