Hey Todd,

I moved your post to this location from the Travel section. Lots of expert input to be had here on the prospects and locations for a session in early August in the St. Pete area.

Todd, good luck finding wind here in August. Season starts in November, maybe you'll luck out and we'll get a tropical depression or a hurricane that will bring some nice wind. If so, just keep tuned into the forum for the best launch on the wind direction that we have. We have flat water launches on all wind directions plus the gulf on any westerly wind.

You can also get lucky with an afternoon seabreeze
or, go wakeboarding....
Plenty of local info here: www.tbka.org
and here: www.kiteboardingtampabay.com

Good luck!
