What's up tomorrow a.m.? Where to ride? East Beach on a NE?
NOAA says
FRIDAY NORTHEAST WINDS AROUND 15 KNOTS BECOMING NORTH 5 TO 10 KNOTS LATE IN THE AFTERNOON. but I can't find a forcast model that shows more than 10-12 in the a.m. WTF? Where should I go to hunt a NE wind? East Beach? Never riden there. I need a fix in the morning man... where to go?

Todd,
IMO Easterlies are best in the bay.....East Beach or Skyway North. I personally like East Beach better. Everyone has their preference. The thing I do is get up around six and check the wind. If its blowin in the upper teens I head down there. If its 15 or less I don't. However, it can get good around 9 or so and then shut off around 11 or so. Its pretty windy down there right now....so a pretty good bet that it will be rideable in the morning. I should be there in the am if the sensors send me that way.

A bunch of us just got done riding Lassing. It was awesome.
Basically due East. Hopefully it holds up for the morning. This time of year though, the better bet (imo) is to get the wind while the sun is setting, and after, not dawn patrols. It sounds like you don't have a choice though, so just cross your fingers. Like Steve said, the odds of it going past 11 are low. It happens, just not often. Tom, that last board you made rocks. Nice job. It's your best one by far.
