Default Eclipse Kites

Dimitri just launched his new kites website

www.eclipsekites.com

look pretty spiffy.. cleat on the CL looks interesting..

difficult to judge a kites performance based on Dimitri's word.. he is on a whole different level than 99% of the worlds riders. He rides with zero depower. He rides HUGE kites compared to the conditions..

Kites are moderately priced.. and I know that Dimitri will sell for much less if you call him direct.

I have a 12M Thruster on the way. I know, everyone give me grief, I am Mr. kite buyer...but I think that this line of kites will finally thin out my quiver a LOT. Anyone is welcome to demo once it is in. I am purchasing direct from Eclipse and their customer service so far is incredible! You can just tell that they want you to succeed and progress personally as a rider using their gear... A+ so far, I'll type up a full review once the kite is here and I get a chance to ride it!

FYI, I have a 15M Flexifoil Ion and a 16M Slingshot Turbo Diesel flown about 5 times each that I will sell either of them complete for $675. After I get the Thruster may be selling more kites...

Poker addict.

Tom, did you look at the website and the projected wind ranges for a 175 lb rider? These kites are only made in 10M, 12M, and 14M sizes...

strange.... for half the price you could get a slightly used 12m waroo which had you riding on sat in 15 knots.... so why pay twice the price for a kite youve never flown or seen?????

Addicts tend to suffer emotionally and financially.
Somehow 225 bucks for an hour tourney isn't doing either to me.

Tournament Director: The blinds are now 200/400
Dealer: Hand #1524917996
Dealer: Dean327 shows [Td Th]
Dealer: WWiinndd shows [9s Ad]
Dealer: Dean327 shows a pair of Tens
Dealer: WWiinndd shows a pair of Aces
Dealer: WWiinndd wins the pot (5,920) with a pair
of Aces (
Game over)

No more poker talk (Tom started it)

I can't wait to see the Eclipse kite. I hope its as good as a Waroo.

Simply put, because it is a C hybrid. I love that the 12M Waroo will pull me in that little of wind (15) and that is why I am not worried about having a 12 Thruster. But I prefer the way C kites jump. The Thruster will have just as much if not more pull but will jump like a C kite therefore giving me the best of both worlds and being the probable best fit for me. Am I taking a risk? You bet, the kites are brand new. But I am a risk taker, noone knew anything about the Mako around here except what was said on Ocean Rodeo's forum. I bought it and now it is my every day board...the ION and TD weren't all that great a fit for me...you win some and you lose some...
