Default Ride

Is anyone organizing a bus or willing to take some riders from the Skyway to launch site for some $ and beer?

Question

we are not organizing any formal group transportation. We suggest that people bring a friend/relative to the launch. After you launch, your friend can grab your pump, bag, etc. and drive to the finish line. Then you will have your car and gear so you can just relax and have a beer!

it will also provide more spectators for the race. I'm sure that people will be teaming up as well. one friend, two riders. etc. As soon as we post a 72 hour notice, we'll have a better idea of who is going to make it, and then you guys will be able to make more concrete plans as far as rides, etc.

Hope that helps!

Default Registration

I spoke with John at Watersports West about registering now for the race. He said no problem and go to the web site. The web site says registration is closed. Now that the race has been postphoned, I can make it!

How can I register please?

I am fired up for these next two days of wind baby!!!!!

Default Understand

I understand. John at Watersports West thought I might be able to sign in since it has been postponed so long. I was out of town during the preparty and initial proposed dates or else I would have signed up.

Is there a penalty for sailing in the race anyway?! An innocent bystander? I'll be sure to give the first place trophy to the next fastest registered person. Just kidding.... I'll stay out of the leaders' way.

I can't miss this event now! I grew up racing Lasers. Racing is a blast! My wife even gave me a hall pass bro!

looks like a strong NW coming your way for the weekend. how tough would it be to run a downwinder like we did 2 yrs ago for fun? I'm sure I can get a few from Miami to head up. i think that is was 27 miles or so. anyone up for it? now that's a warm up only on the wrong tack. let me know.

Looking at everything I know (which is very little btw) it looks like there is a small possibility that the front Friday Night/Saturday morning may turn into a NE.
I'd say there is a 25% chance the race could happen this weekend but still waiting to see what develops.
Either way it's always great to have you guys here ridin with us so come on over.
