Lightbulb New kite help??

hey, i think im gonna be needing a new kite soon for higher winds. right now i have a 06' 16m switchblade 2 and ive missed too many days because of too much wind, i weigh 240 and i need some kind of cheap kite only deal, but i really need to know what size to go for to make myself a 2 kite quiver, a 11, 12, or 13. any help or good deals thanks, Ross

if you want to keep the same bar for all the kites then you'll have to get the 12m xbow II or switch II since they don't make 11 or 13m sizes and the kites are bar specific.
I think the 12m II will actually have a little overlap with the 16m, personally I would hit up the 9m xbow II for a two kite combo or else a switch 10m

Don't know if they'll work on that bar..............
You are the guinea pig on the bar, if it doesn't work on the cabby bar then you'll have to buy another bar.

why do you assume S FLA doesn't crank?

im not, im assuming that ill be using an 11 or 12 most often, more than my 16 or a 9. if i got a 9 i dont think there would be enough wind, and my 16 may be too much.

you'll be on the 12&16 80% of the time

when it goes above 25kts you'll be outta luck

16 from 13kt to 20 and 12m from 17kt to 25

I have a 12m Flexifoil Ion that is basically brand new (flown maybe 6 times).

I think it would be perfect for you, Ross.

of course he can. I've taken my 17m contra up to +30kts as well. Was it enjoyable, fun or safe? It's better to make big size changes in between bigger kite sizes and small jumps in between small kite sizes.
i.e. better to go 16m > 10m and 10m > 7 or 8
The reason for this is that force of the wind increases exponentially not linearly as the wind increases
