Merritt Island
Hello
Friend of mine just moved to Merritt Island ( south of cape canaveral) and has a great pad for his wife and kids. I am planning to visit the area and would like to know if there are any kite locations close by and/or what are the restrictions and rules are to launch on the beach there Thank you E

There are quite a few, main thing is to stay out of crowded areas on the beach and away from swimmers and surfers in the line up. It's a big ocean so there are options. I would be sure to stay five miles to the north or south of Patrick AFB if you head quite a bit further south of Merritt Island.
