Default Broken Leg

Does anyone know an update or know that guy (Yann?) who compound fractured his Tibia and Fibia Sunday at the Skyway?

Gene was holding his leg together until the ambulance came. He is a tough kid. He was organizing folks getting his gear and car squared away while his leg bones were exposed.

The story is he mis-timed a boost with a loop in very gusty conditions. A dead North wind is a little sketchy at the North end of the Skyway. Too bad the South end is only good at low tide.

Default update

he is in good hands

his father-in-law is a doctor

i'm guessing his soon-to-be-giving-birth wife is not thrilled

doctors patched him up and said at least 4 months recovery/taking it easy

ya' they said he was cool and calm, i woulda' been screaming like a little girl

Two most important things about this
1) he is overall OK given what happened

2) The lesson to take away from here is that doing things like that in shallow water puts you at an increased risk for injury

Get well soon!
